Imagine graduating as the valedictorian of your university class:
- The brightest mind!
- The most distinguished graduate!
- The one everyone expected to see front and center on the graduation day.
But you did not show up.
The class photographs were taken.
The valedictorians posed together. History was documented. And you were missing.
Two years later, the university published its official yearbook, capturing the memories, faces, and moments that defined that historic class.
Your classmates were there. Other valedictorians were there. But you were nowhere to be found.
Not because you did not earn it. Not because you were unqualified. But because “you chose not to come.”
Now imagine explaining to your children, family, and friends that you were supposed to be part of history but chose absence over presence.
Some moments never repeat themselves.
Pictures fade into history. Publications become archives. Moments become legacies. And when history is finally documented, excuses disappear, but absence remains permanently visible.
